Spirits in the Material World

Guest prompt week 4, day 3 — Marcus

My highest power has pointed out to me that there would be times when the needs of my soul and the needs of my human/animus would conflict. I am choosing the terms animus and human over the term ego because of the tendency among people on a spiritual journey not to think in terms of dualities, fall into the binary/label trap, and deride the ego and thus aver that the soul is always correct. What do you think?

Most if not all of us have seen the quotes questioning whether we are human beings seeking spiritual experiences or spiritual beings seeking human experiences. What do you think?

For the most part, my pre-awakening era friends and family cannot relate to me. My oldest friend is very ethical, moral and compassionate, yet has his feet firmly planted in the material world. Last October I asked him whether regardless of his personal beliefs if he could accept the possibility that we all have souls and reincarnate. His answer — no, because he could not correlate that with human population growth.

He then asked me what positive material outcomes could I attribute to my spiritual awakening/journey. How would you answer that question posed to you?

Thank you Diana for allowing me to particpate in the guest prompt series.
