Spirit Guides

What Do You Call Them?

Seth — As I tried to picture him in Midjourney — He says he’s got too many wrinkles.

I’m thinking of red.

Why?

I want to see what happens.

Why?

I’m curious. Do you have a problem with that?

No. So, what’s happening?

I saw a bomb. It wasn’t pleasant. I mean, it was a real stupendous red. From a distance, but I know what it means.

What does it mean?

It means people are dead.

Are there survivors?

I don’t know. I’m not close enough.

Do you figure there are survivors?

I think so.

Why?

There are always survivors. We might not know much about them, not until we get closer, but they are there.

Why?

Jesus, you ask a lot of questions.

Sorry. Why?

Why do you ask too many questions, or why are there survivors?

Why are there survivors?

I don’t know. I suppose when Atlantis was overwhelmed, there were no survivors.

Atlantis was not overwhelmed. It sank.

Really?

Yes, go read about it.

Okay, yes, it sank. I’m stymied.

Why?

What? Are you three years old?

I’m providing a service. I can be your muse today.

People should get so lucky. Who are you anyway?

I’m not telling.

I don’t think you are Seth.

No, he is taking the day off.

Okay, I’ll relax, and we’ll just see where this is going.

I think you should explain what’s going on here.

Why?

Now, it’s you with the questions! I think you should explain why this sounds like two people talking.

I’m a channel. I talk to Spirit. Usually, I talk to my spirit guide, Seth. Often, I talk to dead people. I’m just not sure who this is that I’m talking to right now, other than it might be a three-year-old.

That’s entirely uncalled for. Plus, it is rude. I am not three years old.

Okay, I’m sorry. Here’s the thing. Sometimes, this is what it’s like for me to talk to spirit. This entity I’m talking to might be a Martian, for all I know. And yes, there are extraterrestrials who folks can talk to. The only one I ever knew of was an entity called Bashar. Daryl Anka is his channel. Oh, wait, there is also Bartholemew, who is an extraterrestrial. His channel was Mary Margaret Moore. There’s a book called “I Come as a Brother,” which is terrific. Also, “Planetary Brother”.

When I was learning to channel, I became aware of both Bashar and Bartholomew. I consider them to be spirit guides. They certainly sound like spirit guides. It was wrapping my mind around the idea that some of our spirit guides could be called extraterrestrials, which was a little difficult for me.

Finally, I opened to channeling, too. My guide introduced himself as Seth. I asked him if he was the same Seth that Jane Roberts had channeled all those years ago. He said he was. I accepted that, and so, thirty years later, here we are. But I asked Seth once years ago if he had ever met an extraterrestrial. I was half joking, so was expecting to receive a humorous answer because I really wasn’t sure how I felt about extraterrestrials even though I had read and enjoyed Bashar and Bartholomew.

Seth didn’t answer me at first, and I thought to myself, “Oh, shit. I said something wrong. I’m going to have to apologize.” But then, a few seconds later, Seth asked me, “Who do you think you’ve been talking to all this time?” That’s when it hit me. Seth was an extraterrestrial too, in that he was not of this earth, had no body, and was energy. In a shocking few seconds, my understanding of extraterrestrials did a complete flip-flop.

Another thing that happens when people learn to channel is they want to know what their spirit guide’s name is. I was lucky in that regard because Seth told me right away. Otherwise, my forward progress with channeling might have ground to a halt. I did not want to say, “Hey, You!” That just seemed rude to me.

Seth’s advice to anybody wanting a name for their guide is just to call them Bob. Spirit guides are neither male nor female, nor do they always have a name. That’s something we need. If a guide does not introduce themselves as such and such, you can always call them Bob, Mary, Ishta, or whatever you want to serve as a placeholder until you are calm enough to hear their name. It might be a while, or it might be right away. It just depends on you. You don’t have to spin your wheels wondering if you have a name right or not. Bob is fine.

So, that’s why I didn’t ask for the name of the person/spirit/extraterrestrial I started talking with at the beginning of this article. Oh, hooo! They just whispered it was one of my cats who had passed on. Samantha. That’s the other thing about channeling. You can talk to your animals, too.

Thanks for reading. If this is your first experience with channeling, I write about it a lot. One of these days, I’m going to publish a book teaching folks to channel. I’ll title it something like “Learn to Channel and Save Money on Psychics.”
