
Spicy Yellow Garlic Rice recipe — super simple yet flavourful!
Ingredients
- 5 tbsp olive oil
- 5 cloves thinly sliced garlic
- 1 seeded/chopped green chili to taste
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp each — lemon pepper, ground cumin, coriander
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- Chopped cilantro
- 1 cup pre-soaked rice
- 1 chicken cube.
Directions
- Pre-heat the wok at medium heat.
- Add olive oil.
- Add garlic. Move around until fragrant.
- Add all seasonings. Mix well.
- Add 2 1/2 cups of water.
- Turn the heat up. Bring to boil.
- Add chicken cube& rice
- Stir well.
- Bring back to boil & turn the heat down.
- Cover & simmer on low.
And it’s ready. Garnish with cilantro. Enjoy!!
There’s something special about this rice. It’s healthy, easy to make and flavourful combinations are endless. You can fry thinly sliced garlic and garnish it with it. Toss in spring onions.
It goes well with steak or bbq.
