Soul Deep Sentiments
Bittersweet 6-word photo story…

Life yet lived,
spirit passed,
beautiful.
This is a photo of me, wearing a shirt picturing a friend who passed away a little over a year ago. The irony of this photo…a person whom I knew for too short a time smiling over the swelling of a life of a person I’ll know forever (if you can’t tell, I’m pregnant). Her name was Cori. I knew her so briefly, having met her at a spiritual retreat dedicated to the honoring of the Celtic goddess, The Morrigan. This shirt displays the last words she posted on Facebook, words that so succinctly communicated her approach to life: Today was beautiful.
I found this shirt in the most unexpected of places — I knew I had put it in a drawer, but the other day, when I was stressing out over money, over time, over my growing family, I found it laying on top of a hamper. It was as if Cori was telling me to just stop and remember:
Today was, is, and always will be, beautiful.
In light of this incredibly bittersweet moment, I decided to pose a challenge of my own: A 6-word photo story of soul-deep sentiments.
Rules:
- original photo
- subject must represent, symbolize, or otherwise capture that which touched your soul on some level, in some way
- 6 words to capture how you feel, what you see, or otherwise reflects what that photo means or how it reached you on a soul-deep level.
- tags to include: Photostory, Soul
- optional: tag other writers to continue the challenge.
I’d love to see some Soul Deep Sentiments from:
