Soul Bonded
A poem

I have been reading a lot from various authors in Medium’s spiritual community about soulmates and twin souls. Some think that we have multiple soulmates that teach us life lessons, and we sometimes meet them for only a short time, but when we do, they open our souls. Others think that there is just one twin soul. It is said that many meet their soulmate later in life, and we meet these people in numerous lifetimes. The concept of people searching for a soulmate had me pondering and inspired me to write the following poem.
Deep down in my core I know you have been mine. Our souls have been bonded since the birth of time.
Our essence recognized each other from the beginning. When we finally connected we could feel the earth spinning.
We both told each other to wait. But togetherness wasn’t our fate.
Although in this life, we have lived it apart. I haven’t been able to get you out of my heart.
Did we make a promise to each other in our past? Might we of had a love that would last?
I guess we will wait until we meet in our next life. Will we be together then or live apart in strife?
How will we know each other next time? How will we be able to see the sign?
We have connected souls that can’t break our bond. We will be bound in this lifetime and beyond.
Taking it back to the nineties with this lovely song that has great lyrics.
