Sorry, Black Man
A poem about racism and police brutality.

Sorry, black man but the world won’t ever understand your pain doesn’t matter we’ll disregard the social media chatter we’ll put our knee on your neck just for writing a bad check we’ll continue to choke you until breathing is something you no longer can do don’t you dare forget to put your hood down or we will kill more people in your town.
Sorry, black man but this was always part of our plan you should be used to getting treated like dirt so take off your “I can’t breathe” T-shirt there will be no justice for people like you falsify our police report is what we’ll do the medical examiner will say you died from a natural cause and our colleagues will welcome us with applause if you dare to protest we’ll shoot you in the chest.
Sorry, black man but our plan is to say you were resisting arrest which made us all stressed we felt as if we were in danger and what’s even stranger is that even though you were unarmed we still enjoyed causing you harm we will tell everyone that you reached for our gun sorry, black man, but your demise has just begun.
