Songs of Salvation
Conversations with strangers
Some of us struggle To share Our emotions Or struggles And limitations To the ones That we love Or we’re close And are around
Maybe, What it is We’re scared We’ll be judged Pitied, scrutinized Looked at differently By the ones That we love
So we ball up In our shells And we hurt On our own Cause of insecure Or afraid We end up All alone
But the pain In our hearts Is too deep For our souls So we look For reprieves To destress And survive
In the search For respite Some find faith And religion Some find song And a stage Some find words And keen readers Whatever the search For absolution We all find The same solution And that’s support In congregation
From complete strangers We’ve never met Yet, we feel comfortable And we communicate For we don’t fear No judgement Nor retribution And we find peace From our confessions And they to From our admissions
Solidarity Some may call it Whatever it may be It’s a wonderful thing
