Sometimes You Have To Leave Friends Behind
I can tolerate a lot from my friends. Only one thing I will never accept.
We spend a lot of time with our friends, and we don’t always agree with them.
Exciting discussions and constructive arguments are often the salt in the soup of a good friendship. I would never abandon a friend just because he has a different opinion than I do.
But there is one exception. If someone has racist views, that does not fall under freedom of expression for me. Racism is not an opinion; it’s a crime. Unfortunately, I have had to experience that long-time friends suddenly turn out to be racists.
These people are no longer my friends today.
