Sometimes I feel like only a few of us really know what’s going on
Whether it’s about technology, politics, environment, freedom or culture, it feels like most of the world is lost.
And it’s more than that.
It’s like idiots are gaslighting us rational thinkers and that no one cares.

Of course we all feel ‘we are right’ in our thinking.
But this time, I think it’s true that a minority of thinkers are demonstrably correct, but the world is fighting against us with falsehoods.
If you know this blog channel of mine, you’ll know where I’m coming from.
- Anything other than centrist thinking seems crazily ideologically biased to me. Surely we need to avoid BOTH lefty ‘over-woke-ness’ and righty selfishness?
- Isn’t it clear that Tony Seba and Elon Musk-types are correct about fighting climate change through green tech rather than austerity?
- We’re gong to be inundated with androids within 5 years and nobody seems to realize it. The benefits of AI and general-purpose humanoid robots will surely be huge and we need to embrace it but work out how to spread the wealth and avoid a bad AI Singularity.
- Musk is demonstrably correct about free speech for the sake of progressive democracy. Old Twitter was hideously politically corrupt, but try winning that argument with just about anyone. But it’s 100% true. Free speech is crucial.
- 99% of Wall Street analysts are so short-term focused they’ve got no idea what’s going on either. They’ve been mistakenly predicting ‘Tesla Killers’ for a decade because they don’t value 10-20 years of R&D. They think Tesla is ‘just a car company’. No inclusion of FSD or android in their valuation models. They still think that legacy auto will catch up. No! It has not happened remotely as they predicted. The only competition Tesla has is from Chinese new auto. And that’s fine. All autos is a big market. These guys deserve to be sacked.
All of these views are ‘centrist’ views.
Yet polarizing politics continues to attract votes.
Anti-Musk thinking continues to thrive giving rise to both eco-terrorists that try to burn Tesla factories down and our everyday coffee-table friends and colleagues who believe the anti-Musk rhetoric and just hate his guts. His positives be damned.
People think we can’t solve climate change by green tech and instead think we must de-growth the world and just ride bicycles and stop eating meat.
But the evidence is we’re almost on track to carbon neutral by 2040. Yet even COP28 and IPCC still report pessimism ahead of technological and rollout breakthroughs.
As if they prefer the 2010s when carbon neutral was impossible and therefore they could focus on telling us to switch of our air conditioners, meltdown our cars and stop eating meat. It’s like IPCC prefers that.
Suddenly green tech can save us – because it’s better and cheaper – and nobody believes us!
Others argue that AI is a fad. And that LLMs like GPT are just regurgitators. And laugh at FSD and androids or predictions of AGI.
But instead, the evidence is we’ll have all of these within 3 years. Lol.
Get ready for the late 2020s. Nothing will be the same.
But if the centrists and technologists win, it could be near Utopian.
Somehow, as feared by my pessimistic side, we’ll probably rather end up with WW3, some nutcase Big Brother world government and an AI apocalypse.
All simultaneously.
Hopefully not!
But believe me, only a few of us really know what’s going on. The rest are politically polarised by ideology and technologically ignorant.
Most voices are talking garbage.
I’m not kidding.
