Summary

The Biden administration is planning to build a floating pier to provide aid to Gaza, amidst criticism that the project is an expensive gimmick and concerns about the timeline and security of the operation, given the region's political and resource-related tensions.

Abstract

The article discusses the Biden administration's latest strategy to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza by constructing a floating pier to deliver aid, a plan necessitated by the failure of previous methods and Israel's restrictions on aid delivery. The project involves the deployment of 1,000 U.S. Army soldiers from the 7th Transportation Group to facilitate the transportation of goods from ships to Gaza. Estimates for the completion of the pier vary from two weeks to two months, raising concerns about the potential for mass starvation during this period. The article questions the sustainability of the current approach and the willingness of the U.S. and its allies to exert pressure on Israel to allow aid through existing land routes. It also suggests that the presence of American forces

Some revealing information about Biden’s plans to build a port in Gaza is telling me it’s an expensive gimmick.

It’s more than what meets the eye.

A pier, for illustration purporses.

After the failure of the airdrops and trying to persuade the Israelis to bring in food, this is the latest plan Biden administration has in store to bring aid to a starving population that his ally Netanyahu is adamant on stopping.

He plans to build a floating pier which is going to involve 1000 soldiers of the US Army’s 7th Transportation Group. The job of the floating will be to carry the goods from the ship and into Gaza.

They can’t build a port, because Gaza beach is a flat land that will be open to many elements, for security purposes of personnel, it cannot be attached to the land itself, instead it’ll be floating. Now the next issue is the time. Some speculate 2 weeks, others like Politico say 60 days.

And because of how long it is going to take, the question on people’s mind is, what will happen till then?

Mass starvation is not too far away, and 2 weeks let alone 60 days is far too long. How does Biden and his allies plan to sustain them till then? Are they going to keep airdropping food into Gaza? Will some trucks be allowed into Gaza whilst this happens? Or will they not lift a finger.

What will they do?

And also, the same IDF that’s starving the Gazans are also going to be responsible for securing the aid.

I want to reiterate, sending aid by sea and air is not feasible.

Existing land routes are the best and If Israel isn’t allowing aid to enter then you need to do some arm twisting to let the aid in, there are many countries that can do that without suffering repercussions, but the fact they don’t do it, tells me they’re not interested.

And for those countries except America, if you standby them after everything they have done so far, then these are just theatrics to fool your own population. You’re not fooling anyone.

But there is also one other fact I need to mention to you and that is the fact that Gaza is sitting on massive Gas deposits worth around $500 billion.

I know Israel wants it, but American boots on the ground also makes me wonder whether Biden Administration also wants a piece of it.

But on the off chance they do, the backlash they’ll receive will be immense and also the fact that the region is pretty much ready to expel them. Further staying and exploiting Gaza’s gas will do nothing but fuel more regional animosity towards them.

In short, it’s not worth it. Their stance and weakness towards Israel have opened my eyes from foes and friends alike and their waning influence is a mark of that weakness.

Biden can try build all these gimmicks for his election, but his unequivocal support of Israel will prove to be a fatal poison to his future as President of America.
