A global lockdown, still in place But not here; our Island still free Okinawa in solitude The calm before the storm?

A Ryūka (琉歌) is a form of a poem, slightly different from a Haiku. It originates from Okinawa, where I am currently living, and often follows a pattern of 8–8–8–6 syllables.
