Solace: A Call to Mother Earth
In response to Logan’s Corner writing prompt: It all started with a photo

Solace
The Earth calls me Through the tumult and the fire In the midst of the storm Through the thoughts and the tears She calls me to her To her peace To her side
Rest with me For a moment For a lifetime Know me And know yourself I am the wind and the rain I am the fire and the storm I am the peace you dream
Rest in me Let me cover you in my spires Let me hold you in my hills In pits of earth and clay I hold you fast and bind away the tears And make you be again Know me and have me I am what always is Nothing and everything Alive and free Found within me Rest and remembrance Blessed assemblance
Commentary
There are times when we must reset, go to ground, take a day. I received this invitation from Gaia and took her up on it. I had been spending time learning about my gifts and feeling out of sorts. I needed to ground myself and as I walked I saw this image of me being buried in the earth. Not in a negative way, like my life was over, but in a very positive, uplifting way. I felt surrounded by love and nurtured and covered.
The next day I was walking and I found this hole. It reminded me of the vision and that I wanted to share it. We are so desperate for change sometimes. But change needs different things. For me its being loved on and surrounded by connection…
Surrounded By Connection…
Dedication
