Ecological journey of a young girl on quest to save the world!

This tale reaches deep into Socrates Philosophy. Babirusa — the grand philosopher in the story — illustrates the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence on the Orb — the coexistence of Human Beings with Animal Beings.

Anuk travels to a faraway land to fulfill her destiny as an Assisi Human and save the world! Can you, one Human Being, save the world? Is this what you desire to do? Is this your destiny? Are you even remotely destined to do such a thing? This seems terribly overwhelming — — save the world? How can you — one person — do this? Anuk’s life is changed — no doubt! Her dangerous journey through unfriendly and enemy infested landscapes to Roese Island make her want to quit, return to the safe and quiet home at the Inn. But she persists across the seas, filled with hazards and disguised enemies. Can she even make it to her destination? Do you persist with what you desire for Humanity and Animal Beings in the face of relentless challenges? What drives you to keep going forward?

Right on the onset Anuk is faced with a conflict that build’s in the story, allowing you to understand the pain of an abrupt change in Anuk’s life. ‘Understand the Pain’ of an abrupt change — — Trying to understand the pain of Animal Beings can be challenging for Human Beings. Why is this so?

What do you understand about Animal Beings and their suffering at the hands of Human Beings?

What do you understand about Animal Beings and their suffering, their pain at the destruction of their home — their habitat, when they witness the destruction of forest/jungle and other habitat, of which they occupy, as trees are falling around them, and the soil is poisoned? In the face of conflict and abrupt change, Anuk grows in daring and generosity, learning to trust her instincts. Do you grow in daring and generosity, learning to trust your instincts in the face of conflict and abrupt change?

EXCERPT FROM THE ADVENTURES OF ANUK: THE FIRST LEAP

*Anuk realized she was the same age as Babirusa when she embarked on a journey to engage with Humans in Helithia’s edgy and marginalized partems. This was the coastal temperate rainforest Clayoquot. It was the edge of recovery. For thousands of years Clayoquot was Helithians burial grounds. The souls of their dead rested in the rivers, lakes, and coastal beaches. When Babirusa visited Clayoquot, it had evolved into a wealth of natural beauty and home to various Beings. They called the Beings Wolf, Bear, Eagle, Cougar, Whale, and many more.

Many Helithians continued to maintain dominion over Beings. Slavery, as it was, had not been completely eradicated. When Babirusa met the Clayoquot Humans she listened to theories tied to stories of the rights of Humans to rule over Beings. She also encountered thinkers of eastern Helithia whose ideas had for centuries comforted their traditional explanation of their place in the world and power over others. These were the Rames. She described the scale and audacity of the Rames thinking as inspiring and thought provoking. They viewed the new system as mysterious and unconceivable and the old system as rationally ordered and to some degree, rationally explicable.
