A Poem

Isn’t social media a crazy place? Makes you say things you’d never to someone’s face. Does it bring to our attention or create the divide? We all do things from a place we hide.

No one knows who you are And you don’t know them either Because you haven’t met in person That’s why ghosting them is easier…

Than having to communicate or inform Our true feelings no one knows. Everyone’s behind a wall; their guards up. That’s the ‘norm’ today; that’s how it goes.

How long can one live a life this fake, One that disconnects you from reality? Whatever disconnects you, my friend Creates the divide within — a world awaiting unity.

The war outside is but a reflection Of the war within each man. It’s THAT war the I wish to end And bring peace wherever I can.

Take a look at your outer world As a mirror to your inner. Love yourself a little more each day Embrace and forgive the ignorant sinner.

Then the wars in the online and off line words Won’t cause you to react anymore. One person at a time, let there be peace. Return to the wisdom we had as children.. Before

The existence of social media When a man was as good as his word. His integrity was his honor — Standing on the foundation of truth in the world.

So man must be vary of his addictions Food, sex, alcohol, weed, work or social media. Disconnect from them from time to time; to connect And make room for a thoughtful idea.
