So I Finally Started The Lord of the Rings Series

As part of my “actually watch all the classics” project

So, I finally started The Lord of the Rings Series by watching The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) yesterday. It’s incredible how it’s been at least a decade since I’ve continuously paid attention to something for four whole hours, but I made it, with the boost of a lot of snacking.

The one biggest thing I gathered from this movie was that if anything, I relate most deeply with the hobbits. I know there’s this undertone that they don’t do anything fun and mostly sleep, eat five times a day, and have fun, and that’s painted as “bad” because there’s so much more life to live…

But it really stood out to me that I saw that intro into Hobbit life and was like, this is the life I want. I’m tired. Just let me have the basics. And by basics I mean I want breakfast five times a day.
