Small Routines To Help You Win In Challenging Times
How to overcome obstacles when you fail in your goals.

A certain amount of sorrow and uncertainty will be a part of everyone’s life at some time. Just like this year and the previous year, many of us have been plagued with a sense of apprehension.
If so, is it conceivable that you aren’t sure if you’ll make it?
Situations continue to deteriorate as a result of your inability to cope with challenging scenarios. Uncertainty and suffering are inevitable, but if we take small measures, we can get through them one day at a time.
“Time doesn’t heal emotional pain, you need to learn how to let go.” — Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart
In life, we will all experience suffering. That is inevitable. We live in a difficult world where everything is so unforgiving. It will tear us apart, again and over again. This is a fact of life that cannot be avoided.
The good news is that we don’t have to suffer. Breaking isn’t the only option. Our grief might be transformed into something beautiful in certain circumstances.
Strengthening ourselves is a viable option for all of us. We can improve ourselves as people. No doubt, the world will shatter you, but you don’t have to be shattered forever.
All we need to do is to learn to tame the pain, else we will lose it. And the things we can influence in this life are few and far between. Only our ideas and actions are under our control. Time and energy should not be wasted on things that are beyond our control. Focusing on the things we can control will allow us to maximize our efforts.
You will be broken by the world. It will deal you with unfair cards. What matters is how you respond to it. Even if you can’t control what life throws your way, you can always control how you respond to what it does to you.
Create Your Fallback Plan
When things are not going as per your plan, and the world around you fails, then you must rely on your fallback plan.
I believe everyone should create their fallback plan. A fallback plan can be defined as your set of rituals or habits that you must do to become confident when the world around you is crumbling. It will help you to focus on one thing only.
I use a personal journal for tracking my emotions when things are not going right for me. Then I create a routine for myself in a productivity app. That routine comprises anything from working on a personal project to researching articles, doing 50 push-ups (among other exercises) or reading at least an hour of a book. I do these things when things are not going right for me.
These might not seem huge but completing these small tasks creates confidence in me and makes me feel grounded.
Life is unpredictable. No matter what you do and how perfect you are, it is surely going to hurt you. This is why we need to have a fallback plan that will help you have a sense of control over things and develop the confidence to overcome obstacles. If we can do that, then we can get through anything.
