Slimy Ad Reminds Us Biden is Old

Is this how Trump will run his campaign?

Donald Trump wants you to know that Joe Biden is 81 years old and often shows his age.

A new campaign commercial, timed to distract attention from Biden’s State of the Union Address, tells us, “We all know Joe Biden’s weakness.” The ad also asks, “Can he even survive to 2029?” split-screen with an image of Vice President Kamala Harris laughing.

If you had any doubt that the 2024 presidential election would be ugly, wake up. Seventy-seven-year-old Donald Trump has determined that Joe Biden’s age is his best shot at regaining the White House.

The short commercial is difficult to watch. It is disgusting. This type of political activity alienates voters and convinces young Americans that our system of choosing leaders is irreparably broken.

Regrettably, the Biden campaign and others will likely respond to the MAGA commercial with something similar. Recent Trump speeches have included the inability to pronounce words, lapses of memory, and general confusion. Hours of video are available for the commercial.

Will we see campaign commercials addressing climate change, racial justice and equity, education, or health care? Maybe from the Biden campaign.
