Sleep Now

Poetry ~ Lyrics

* In your head, They could only be unkind.

Falling down in the road, Anything could hurt your life.

But they were not your friends, And now they have gone home.

But I’ll always be with you, Sharing all we have known.

So you can Sleep now, sleep now Leave your slumber to the clouds, Well I can see that your light has gone.

And I’ll fight anything for you, I’ll take my courage, to the wall, Even when no good, in a world unfair, And you don’t hear me, anymore.

So you can Sleep now, sleep now Luck and timing work it out, But they wont stop when your heart is lost.

So I’ll wrap myself around your pain, When you slide down, on the floor. And I’ll love you, like no one else, When there’s no hope left, in the world.

So you can Sleep now in peace now …

In your darkest years, All the tragedy came home.

With photos and spirits broken, No way back to love.

Time wont always be our friend, But I’ll be with you, until the end.

So you can Sleep now, sleep now, Half the world is full of doubt, But I know what it means to be strong.

So I’ll fight anything for you, I’ll take my courage, to the wall, Even when I’m wretched, black and blue, And you don’t see me, anymore.

You’ve got to Sleep now, sleep now, Luck and timing work it out, But they wont stop when your heart is lost.

So I’ll wrap myself around your pain, When you slide down, on the floor, And I’ll love you, despite yourself, When there’s no hope left, in the world.

So you can Sleep now, in peace now.

It’s time to Sleep now, sleep now …
