WRITING PROMPT
Sleep, Blissful Sleep
My brain IS a noodle when it comes to sleep

As a kid, I loathed going to bed. Now, I can’t wait to snuggle under the covers, mould my squishy pillow into a ball and drift off into slumber.
There’s nothing better than sliding between freshly laundered sheets; and there’s nothing worse than waking up to a blaring alarm, rudely poking your consciousness and interrupting a dream.
If I don’t get at least 7 hours of shut-eye, I am a grumpy tart the next day. I have zero energy and patience and sweat the small stuff.
But, I can’t go to bed before 10 pm. If I do, I wake up a couple of hours later, thinking it’s time to get up! And then, I can’t go back to sleep; I start mentally writing stories or plotting the day ahead.
I forget the lot by the next morning.
It’s a vicious circle.
I want to be a cat.
