Simple Movements to Release Stress & Anxiety from Your Body

How do you know if stress has become a way of life? It usually begins by attaching meaning to certain situations, events or people. Finding yourself reacting strongly with judgment, or control, and wondering why no one is getting with (your) program. Sound familiar?
If so, begin… Observing the voice in your head and become aware of the story its telling you. If it’s repeating stressful, fearful thoughts or negative phrases throughout the day, that’s one big clue. You can easily notice how your body is responding too, consider doing a full body scan to check in… Is your jaw clenched and is your breathing restricted, or shallow? ➡️ You can release it by placing the tip of your tongue to the roof of your mouth behind your two front teeth while letting your lips gently part. Then find your breath. Are your shoulders tight and raised up towards your ears? ➡️ Take a breath in and on the exhale roll them down and back, and repeat as often as needed. Are you holding your posture in a hunched or head down position, limiting your perspective (vision) even more? ➡️ Look up and around, moving your eyes from side to side, or go outside and gaze up and out at the expansive world all around you. Tapping into your peripheral vision as a tool for expansion will do wonders for you! Breaking these patterns by allowing the energy of your emotions to move through your body WILL change your physiology and your psychology. Your body is the conduit for expression and taking action. When it’s in stress mode, it shuts off growth mode. Stress literally shuts down your immune system, your intelligence, and your life, which is precisely why the body is an asset to your everyday success! Your experience is happening in and through your body, and I know you want to feel alive.
Bringing awareness to your body and your breath will calm a stressed and anxious mind.
