Simple Morning Rituals to Fuel that Positive Energy within
For that happy inner self

We all have our own set of sluggish or busy mornings with either work meetings to get to, getting the kids ready, dropping kids to school, cooking & packing lunches for the family and maybe other morning hustles.
Most mornings after waking up I used to feel languid with low levels of positive energy. I didn’t have enough time for my complete morning workouts & somehow my energy wasn't enough to feel that ‘morning Yay’ inside me.
After some observations and realizations of my own, I created some morning rituals to fuel that positive energy inside & get me going with ‘Yay’ for the rest of the day :)

1. Feel the Energy of Sun
After completing early morning formalities, take a comfortable position near a space inside or outside home receiving Sunlight most effectively. For me, it’s near my bedroom window.
Keeping eyes open or closed, either arms open ,palms facing up, FEEL the Energy, Warmth and Sunlight for few minutes with gratitude for the lovely morning you are experiencing in that moment.
Sun is the source of all energy and plays a vital role in our existence.

2. Simple Stretches
If you do Yoga or go for a run in the morning, that’s really great. If not, Simple neck, back, arm and leg stretches are an effective morning ritual addition for an energetic head-start to the day, specially when you don’t have the time for a complete workout in the morning.
The stretches aid blood circulation and boost energy levels requiring less time input than a complete workout regime.

3. Mindful Breathing
Sit comfortably in cross legged pose with hands on your knees facing up or down. If this isn't a your comfortable position , you can always sit on a chair keeping back upright. Gently close your eyes and mouth, bringing attention to your breaths. Breathe normally through nostrils and feel your breath moving in & out of the body as you inhale and exhale. Be mindful of each breath. Try to Focus your mind on your breaths and nothing else for 3–5 minutes and gradually prolong the practice within your comfortable zone and time to reap its wonderful benefits.
Mindful Breathing keeps the mind serene & body relaxed with energy restored.

4. First Drink of the Day
After these mental and physical morning rituals. its time for first drink of the day; two cups of Warm water .There are many simple ways to include warm water as a first morning drink if you don’t prefer drinking it as is. Adding a little ginger juice or ground turmeric or lemon juice. with some honey adds to the flavor and aids body cleanse.
I follow Ayurveda, so it’s always my first drink of the day.

Follow these simple Morning Rituals everyday and you are all set for a great day ahead with a heaped scoop of positive energy boost.
