I step into her silhouette a hazy dream of blue awash in sapphire shadows dance in her wake cast from the sparks on the ocean she creates

the world melts with her kiss all things that God meant to be healed by her embrace beautiful pooled in her eyes so perfect is her face

all common sense abandoned heart and soul exposed immersed in momentarily every synapse unclothed a blessing she was to me

if only for a breath in time she had my heart to hold to miss before we meet means to ache once she departs unintended waves at my feet

glowing from her sunset’s warmth if the true definition of pain is our separation from light now I understand why so sadly long the night
