Words serve as the eloquent vehicles of human thoughts and emotions. In the realm of written words, contemplation and reflection are essential. However, in today’s era of convenience and haste, where speaking seems to expedite tasks, there’s a growing inclination among people to refrain from using written words.

Understanding often necessitates more listening than speaking. Our two attentive eyes and ears exist so that we may perceive situations better. The tongue, on the other hand, is there to talk less.

In certain circumstances, silence is more impactful in conveying one’s intentions to others. Excessive speech may lead to the careless use of unnecessary or hurtful words, breeding apprehension.

Words possess a formidable power inherent to nature. They have the boundless capacity to both comfort and wound. The persona of a person who speaks sparingly is refined and restrained. Unfortunately, the tendency to talk excessively has become a widespread disorder in everyday life.

Numerous individuals keep talking ceaselessly, whether walking, reading, eating, driving, sitting in vehicles, using mobile phones, or even during moments of worship. Such individuals will speak anywhere about anything.

However, looking from another perspective, having complete control over one’s tongue can pose challenges. Complete silence may impede many tasks, hinder joy, suppress concerns, and prevent sharing. The mind and spirit may suffer as a result.

Most of our problems stem from speaking too much or not speaking at all. In this context, a thinker once remarked that half of the world’s population has much to say, but they have become silent due to nature, respect, fear, or other reasons.

The remaining half consists of those who incessantly utter meaningless words. A proper balance between speaking and silence is necessary. Understanding when, where, what, and how much to speak and when to remain silent will lead to a contented life.

In essence, words are not merely communication tools; they can shape relationships, convey emotions, and influence destinies. They are the essence of our thoughts, the expression of our souls.

Therefore, the art of using words wisely lies in speaking eloquently and knowing when to be silent, allowing the power of silence to resonate as eloquently as speech itself.
