Silence
September’s First Week Lifeline Prompt

As I walked – listened to the silence – wanted to remember how it felt when walking along amidst autumn leaves on a bright September day – a child in west London.
After a few minutes – began to feel free – remembered that I felt free – remembered – the silence – I had no cares – remembered in the silence – didn’t have to think about tomorrow – was free – in the moment – was free to feel.
I felt the cool breeze on my arms. It was 9: 30 in the morning – had the whole day ahead of me – was able to observe – it was – beautiful, September – morning.
Yesterday, we had 30 degree celsius weather - now it was already hotting up – already tended to a garden – had the whole day ahead of me.
I was walking to the coffee shop – know that milk does not agree with me anymore – am trying to give it up – had a conversation with myself – managed to persuade myself to have Americano.
Yesterday – went a whole day without milk – am focusing on food — makes me feel lighter. Yesterday evening – felt good after drinking lemon juice in water all day.
The silence helped me collect thoughts.
When I got to the coffee shop, it was quiet. Of course, hardly anybody about because – hot day. They all want the sunshine. No chatter – makes my head spin. A peaceful, quiet, time in the coffee shop.
I will write something for Medium in the silence.
I was aiming for some Parataxis in the above work. I took out most conjunctions to create a plodding, thoughtful, bent. Not sure how I’ve done. Do let me know.
