Six Symptoms of a Difficult Personality
If you have one or many of these signs, it is time to get help
We all have met at least someone in our lives who is so difficult to deal with, someone who is all about himself: cynical, arrogant, mean, defensive, belligerent and more of these adjectives. But what if you are that person? If you read this and if you think you have one or more of these signs, you should get help.
1. It Starts With Rejection
Rejecting love and care like a body that rejects a donated organ, because there is no will to live, there is no hope. An aversion towards relationships of all kind: friendships that do not cross a limit, relationships limited to sex, and conversations that do not go personal.
A mind as such would likely trap someone else into an immature love of sorts, because a mind as such is looking for a short fix, to satisfy a momentary need for sex, or maybe love and care. But once that mind starts getting more love and care, it rejects it. This is a terrible thing to do to self and the person trapped at the other end.
2. Inflated Self Image
A troubled mind is also a proud mind, a mind that will do everything to satisfy its ego. A mind that would criticize everything: a movie everyone loves, a song everyone listens to, a person everyone adores. The person with such a mind tends to disagree with everything others say.
This mind would be so self-centred that it leaves no scope for any self-improvement at all, a mind that decays. Look around. Examine the talented people who have destroyed themselves: what do they have in common? They were all egoistical personalities whose minds resisted to improve, stuck in a glittery cage of self-imposed greatness.
3. Content With Self
Being content is a good thing in certain cases. But this is a specific case where it is not. When you have an aversion towards love and is an egoist, being content is the last thing you want to be. You will not see anything clearly, hear anything properly or feel anything in its true form. You will only see things the way you would want to see them, hear what you would like to hear and feel how you would want to feel.
4. Cannot Handle Rejection
Though this mind rejects love and care, this mind cannot handle being rejected by others, often making it a ‘Catch 22’ situation. It hurts its ego big time. A person with such a mind cannot handle a relationship, and at some point, will have problems in the relationship, eventually getting being rejected. But this is when the mind goes feral, unable to handle the pain of rejection, unable to make peace with the fact that someone can reject you, someone can not love you anymore, someone can move ahead with you.
5. Uncontrolled Rage and Irritation
This mind cannot stand things that it hates, but the problem is that it hates almost everything. People with such a mind can create fissures in friendship and relationship, might shout at bosses and colleagues, get irritated at waiters and helpdesk people, throw stuff after fighting with parents, honk horn continuously in inevitable traffic. This mind gets irritated at everything and has an urge to inflict damage to whatever that irritates.
“Before it consumes you…”
If you are someone with such signs, I would urge you to get help soon before these signs will consume you. Because when it does, it will push you to the final stage, which is a very fearsome and damaging state of mind.
6. Self Loathing
The mind will hate itself, it will feel deep remorse for things it has done in the past. It will dig all these memories from the past where it hurt someone with words, actions and rejections. The mind will start feeling the pain of guilt and eventually lead to self-loathing. This is a powerful self-damaging state, where even if you can get help, it might be too late!
