Side Hustling Creators Need A Routine

Here is my exact side hustling routine

My routine is effortless and very straightforward. I am guaranteed 13.5 hours/week to work on my side hustle. So, let’s break it down:

  • Sunday — Saturday (7 days/week): 5:30 am to 7:00 am. (10.5 hrs)
  • Tuesdays: 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm (2 hrs)
  • Thursdays: 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm (1 hr)

That is my schedule for working on my side hustle. I do fit more in occasionally, but this is what I can expect.

How I use this time:

I use this time to create content and work on my books. Here is what comes of this weekly time:

  • Daily posts on Medium
  • Three posts on Substack
  • Daily posts for Self-Publishing Daily
  • Weekly posts for my blog
  • Book projects

That comes to 16 pieces of content a week, plus my books.

There is some overlap because I write many of my first drafts with my regular content.

I repurpose content, so some blog and Substack posts become Medium posts.

But that’s how I do it.
