Side Hustle Club: 2022 State of the Publication
We’re in need of some help

Howdy side hustlers, writers and all members of the publication’s audience.
It’s the time of the year to recap the state of the publication as of December 2022.
What you can expect:
- Information about the publication’s stats.
- Your chance to contribute in the future.
Facts about the publication
Our publication might be on the smaller side (5,500 followers), but it gets a lot of traffic.
90-day numbers
Here’s what the last 90 days have looked like on our stats page:

We sit around 2500 views per day, sometimes more. We get MASSIVE spikes around the holidays. I think it's because that’s when readers spend more time inside and they think about needing more money.
30-day numbers
If you take a look at our 30-day totals, you’ll see a similar story:

The number of views and minutes read are a little lower than our monthly norm, but I blame myself. I’ve been slouching on the editing and publishing for our writers this month and this was the result.
Still, our stats look good for a growing publication and we’re in a good place for 2023.
How you can contribute to the future of the publication
As of 2023, I’m opening editor positions for the Side Hustle Club in an effort to expand the publication. Right now, it’s just me and Chris Fritz who handle a large number of requests.
But the job isn’t tedious. You’d be helping writers get their stories published faster and offering any advice you see fit for their stories.
Since the publication doesn’t generate income itself, paying the editors is off the table — for now.
However, I can try to make it a little better for those who’d like to contribute. Editors will have the ability to:
- Publish their own stories to the Side Hustle Club’s audience any time they’d like.
- Get priority spots in the weekly Side Hustle Club newsletter (higher up in the newsletter).
- Be first in line to contribute to the newsletter if/when it becomes more profitable.
- Contribute to the overall growth of the publication and community (I know, kinda laughable for a community that’s all about making money.)
I’ve created a Google Form for applicants:
