Never-Ending Poem Response
Show You Their Light
Sunrise, a New Day Begins
In the dark, I’ve been too long, for so long, I have become, accustomed to the shadows, so many demons, I’ve befriended (they did not want to be my friends).
I just woke up before sunrise, It was cozy in my new life, I was afraid to leave my covers, and to take on the new day.
My emotions swing up and down, I seek refuge when in your arms, oh, sleep, please come again, tell me of dreams, soft like the wind.
Would you wake me with your lips, those I had not, or will not kiss? Are those lips the ones from love, or the ones I think are lust?
The sun rises, and I’m so afraid, to go and dream, this my new day, I shall stop changing the sky now, I’ll feel the grass. I’ll kiss your heart.
A friend of mine, he told me once, like a radar, must use your heart, and then find the kindred ones, who’ll walk with you (show you their light).

Thank you, Lynne Nardizzi for inviting me to play this game where stories intermingle. May I go now and dream of verdure and water moving imperceptible? Thank you again for your presence and even though I may not be the most courageous one to wake up in a cold morning in which the heat is holding us prisoners of its humor. Nevertheless, we hope and dream and love. We wake up at sunrise witnessing departing stars.
And now it is my turn to invite 10 poets with a new prompt:
Courage
Kitty Hannah Eden, Vaishali Paliwal, R Tsambounieri Talarantas, Silvia Useros, Priyanka Srivastava, Trisha Traughber, kurt gasbarra, Shringi Kumari, Bella Linda, Justcallmejillybean, in no particular order, and dictated by the impetus of my mind.
I hope to find you all well.
This is how it works: write a poem on my theme of Courage, and then come up with a new prompt and tag 10 poets — hence, the Never-Ending Poem… we are all writing even if we are not playing!
