— Should We Cancel Christmas? There is one answer
Series: How We Can Fix the Imperfections #17

War is over. Future is now.
What are we facing?
It’s up to each and everyone of us to tell.
We’ve got challenges.
Our challenges on the microlevel.
Our inherited and sometimes forgotten challenges.
Our challenges from the past.
Our coming challenges, facing the future.
Our personal challenges.
Our private challenges.
And obviously — what we have in common — our global challenges.
Who knows the answer?
What is your challenge? What is mine?
Is it to be more creative?
Can I invent better solutions, can I think of and perform things I’ve not tried before?
Is it to work harder?
Can I take myself by the neck and stand up, do things better, do things more properly? Get the job done!
Is it to be more reflective?
Can I turn inwards, can I make better use of the power of reflection?
Is it to go away, to hide in my innermost secret spaces.
Can I close down, can I shut out the world?
Is it to talk more?
Can I make myself better understood, more persuasive?
Is it not to say those words that hurt?
Can I be more careful when I talk? Can I show more consideration?

I see you.
I seek the feeling in your eye Should we cancel Christmas? Is it over?
I look at you As you sit there At the other side of the breakfast table
You are writing a card Words of friendship To a colleague Who is leaving
Writing her a few words of friendship Writing words can open doors that were locked
To give
— — — — — — — is the answer
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — to our challenges
Give from yourself
Give away
what’s valuable and precious
Give from the best parts
When you give
Don’t erase yourself
Love yourself, then
love the other
like you love yourself
What are we doing? What is this? A mindless celebration of the consumers’ religion? Are we buying all these things to find peace? Do we wander restlessly around hoping for happiness to culminate on Christmas eve?
Shall we give
or shall we take?
Who am I?
Am I a taker
or a giver?
Am I a looser
or a winner?
I alone
know the answer.
Give
what is yours.
Don’t give
what is not yours.
Give
— — — — — just give
