“Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere. They’re in each other all along.” ― Rumi

Yesterday I set out to write about Love about someone who filled my heart and after a spell she drained it but I still want to write about Love

My heart and mind are in conflict my heart craves new loves but my mind seeks calm solitude I usually listen to my heart though

Should I write about Love? should I write about beauty or should I craft verses about how everything is futile?

Should I peddle my sadness in order to enchant new victims or should I reconcile with her and consider it a blessing?

I feel sad, I really do nevertheless I smile because everywhere, beside me behind me, in front of me I see beauty, so much beauty

note: Loose translation of a Greek poem I wrote many years ago. I don’t think I’ve published the original.
