Should I Start Taking Freelance Writing Jobs Again?

I’m torn between my time and money

At the beginning of May, I let go of all my freelance clients except for one. The one client I kept is someone that I have been working with for about nine years so I don’t feel like I should let him go. I have a kind of loyalty to him, I guess.

But, letting go of my other freelance work means that I have less income.

I have been considering starting to take new clients again but with a few stipulations:

  1. I only accept work in the niches that I specialize in.
  2. I charge a rate that is worth my time.

My other option is to put time into developing my own business — writing for Amazon, Medium, and my blogs.

What would you do?

Medium might not be showing you all my articles! The best way to make sure you don’t miss anything is to sign up to get emails when I publish. You can support my work by becoming a paying member PLUS you can read many thousands of other writers, too — and the best part? NO ADS! You can become a paying member here (if you use my link, I’ll keep a portion of your membership fee each month). You can also learn to write and earn money on Medium!
