Thought 1

Some people just put their foot in enough to test the water. Other folks dive in with their whole body and really make waves.

A lot of people know more than I do but not everyone listens with the same intensity that I do.

It is often by listening that we grow.

The Apostle Paul says, “If you think you know anything, you don’t yet know as you ought to know.”

Wisdom is having beneficial, helpful things you can share with others, but it’s also not always saying it. God gave us 2 ears and 1 mouth for a reason?

Thought 2

I’ve never been a perfectionist. This is because I’m not good enough to be a perfectionist.

I’ve never done my very best at one thing I’ve ever done. I’ve always tried hard, but I always knew I could have done better.

And no matter how good I do at anything at all, I either know or have heard of someone who could do it better.

But I try to be better than average. Average is where the best of the worst meets the worst of the best.

Thought 3

A Sure-Fire Plan to Convert a Democracy into Communism, or at Least Socialism. America began doing it visibly in the 1960s.

(1) Get rid of God, morals, ethics, and truth, that our founding fathers established us with, and ignore or at least limit our nation’s Constitution.

(2) Substitute the thinking of human minds that have no foundation, substance, or values to build upon. Then people are conditioned and brainwashed to believe whatever they are told to believe.

(3) Begin the control of young people in grade school by mandating the political thought of (# above2) in their minds, and not allowing anything else to be taught.

(4) Take the rights away from people, impose more tax and regulation and make certain life is policed by the political leadership in power to make people comply.

(5) Make certain liberal politicians and bureaucrats work in the media so the media only reports to the public what they are told they can report, and so they will eliminate independent facts, no matter how well-founded, and substitute their brand of undemocratic falsehood.

(6) Make certain only liberally educated professors and teachers are allowed to teach in the universities as they will agree with any established political agenda.

(7) Exploit public turmoil and disagreement, and even crime and terrorism so people become dependent on government leaders to control things better. This creates fear in people by threatened potential wars, or by some social disease or epidemic or a pandemic. Then appoint experts to keep proclaiming threats so that people become introverts and not extroverts who get involved in what is happening to them.

This is not all that is going on, but it has been occurring in America on an ever-increasing level.

Thought 4

God says (1) to obey him and (2) to trust him.

This is hard for people, even those who claim and profess they are Christian.

God’s moral code and laws seem reasonable, but often the things that happen in our life makes trusting him even seem unreasonable.

With God’s moral code, we deal with what we can see, read and reason about. But in trusting God we too often deal with the unknown, the unexplained, and we fear.

This is why Jesus says we should ‘live by faith.’

If we don’t obey God we are questioning his wisdom, character, and sovereignty. If we don’t trust God we question his love, his goodness and his concern for us.

Don’t you think we hurt God more if we don’t trust him than we do if we don’t obey him? Jesus paid for our sin and disobedience.
