Short Form Poetry: The Big What If

Author’s Notes: Thought I give this a try and see how it goes.
What if it goes wrong?
And all your plans go to the dogs,
What if it goes wrong?
And whatever freedom you seek is taken away,
What if it goes wrong?
And offers dry up and doors shut,
What if it goes wrong?
And those voices prove you and others right,
What if it goes wrong?
And the family mock and jeer at your latest fail,
Is there truly a wrong or right way?
Is there a linear process society has kept from me,
Oh why do I feel faint?
My poor legs tremble as I reach for a bottle of water,
Pfft like that would ever calm me down,
My heart skips a million beats as reality sinks in,
For here I am 29 and counting,
No job to account for,
No source of income,
Just my laptop, ideas, and phone,
Who secretly posts her work with no remorse.
