Six-Word Photo Story Challenge: “Shine!”

Shedding light on Nature’s magnificent resilience.

I’m bending the rules somewhat; I took this pic last winter as the year turned into 2022. I took advantage of a slightly warmer day to venture out.

My photo was taken at 5 pm on January 2nd. It was already dark — yup, hate that! — but that streetlamp caught my attention like a beacon in a stormy sea.

When I looked up, not only was the lamp shining back at me, but the leafless tree was calling to be photographed.

I often ponder how the flora and fauna survive our extreme elements. We humans complain, but at least we can retreat behind four walls and be sheltered from Mother Nature’s wrath.
