She’s Gone

Photo by Alexander Shustov on Unsplash

As if pearls fall in her smile Glimpses of diamonds on her chin, I fell in love with her I wrote poems for her.

A rainbow spreads through her outer hair Like the pull of a magnet in her eyes, I lost myself in her I have kept her in the tomb of my mind.

I saw her on a moonlit night I took her in my imagination, I know she covers my thoughts That’s why my heartburns.

She has gone too far I know she won’t come back, Still very eager to know Why can’t I ever forget her?
