She Waits For Magic in the Sanctuary

they say crows remember your face

and watch as you gather shiny things

trinkets and stones glass and beads

you leave as offerings to embellish their nests

like the colorful hangings in the sanctuary of a girl who waits for magic

to whisk her away to lands unknown and shower her with trinkets and stones

and like a crow she remembers your face
