She Slept On The Couch

And that’s OK

My young (9 months) grandson did a sleepover last night. He usually sleeps in his own room when he’s home. He doesn’t have a problem but just in case when he woke up in unfamiliar surroundings Grammy wanted to be there.

He slept in his pack and play in the living room. He did fine.

I love sleeping in the same bed with my wife. Sometimes it doesn’t happen for a reason.

I don’t like when it happens. If she goes to watch the grandkids at their house. If she goes to an away conference for work. If she goes to stay in the hospital with one of the kids. If she is uncomfortable.

This is one of those times when she did it for him. She also did it for herself. It’s who she is. She will be there for the family.

Sometimes we sacrifice our own pleasures for things that are important. This is one of those times. AND…

I don’t mind.
