She Is Full Of Sunshine And Bright Bouquets
She chooses with care
She doesn’t have a lot of friends Which is how she chooses it to be, The world has betrayed her often She has learned caution is the key.
Too often she has felt betrayal From those who state they care, She has been beaten bloody Emotionally she knows it’s unfair.
She has worked extremely hard To find her peace and happiness, It’s why she limits her circle of friends No longer caring for loss and sadness.
Her inner child, lost all hope long ago That little girl has long since fallen asleep, And yet still she dreams in vivid colour Of Unicorns and fluffy pink sheep.
When she is awake, I hear her whisper That the dragons have left their fire, The flames burning deep inside her Cloaking her in the security she desires.
She no longer knows where she belongs As she silently goes about her day, But she knows she has more to offer Such as sunshine and bright bouquets.
I am including a poem written by Margie Willis because I come across this in my readings today and found it truly awesome. Have a read, you will not regret it.
