She

She is capricious and predictable. A tease, who comes and goes, at will.
She is here…here always and forever. And forever, a thorn in my side.
She is with me in good and in bad. An unspoken vow implying…there is hope.
She may be a goddess, or so it’s been said. But there is nothing goddess-like in her behavior.
She knows I need her. A big problem, that. Because to “need” is to be disappointed.
She disrupts my mind like Tinker Bell on a tear. A flash of light and clarity that fades like the day.
She lights a spark, then blows it out. With glee. Yet I feel the heat, of shame, that says, “You’re done.”
She is my muse. She is me. She is not to be trusted.
