This is not my usual content, but I don’t see many people on my feed talking about it, so I just wanted to share this tragic news with you. I have followed the work of Chef José Andrés for a long time now, and it’s truly admirable what he has managed to do with his talent, reach, audience, and means. And for those who don’t know much about him, he is a Spanish-American chef and restaurateur who not only owns multiple restaurants and has won several awards but is also an incredible humanitarian.

He is also World Central Kitchen's founder and chief feeding officer, whose mission is to provide fresh meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises.

On Monday, seven volunteers, whose names you can read on the cover photo that I’ve shared, associated with the World Central Kitchen (WCK) were killed in an Israeli strike in Gaza. They were only there to feed those who needed food, and they have done this for both sides because their purpose there is to aid those in need without picking sides. And this happens!

The strike was confirmed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who described this act as “unintentional.”

Many have shared their condolences about this tragedy, and I’ll share a few that I’ve found on X, but when will this all end?
