Let’s dive in.

The Daily Battle to Survive Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) ~ R. Scott

As a former Federal Agent, Gang Expert, Scott’s life is full of experiences. But not all of these experiences are pleasant. He had gone through some tough times and struggled a lot to overcome them.

Here, Scott describes his fight against PTSD — how it started and how it shaped the rest of his life.

This story touched me a lot. Reading about his disturbing and painful experience of PTSD, I come to understand that everyone has their fair share of difficult moments in life, and you see none of that from outside.

How Helping a Stray Cat Got Me a Dream Marketing Job at Coca-Cola ~ Daniele Ihns

Life is full of uncertainties and miracles. In this story, Dany talks about how an injured cat leads her into the corporate world of Coca-Cola. As Dany put it — this is a modern-day corporate Cinderella story that actually happened to her eight years ago.

It’s a story about how a girl having no Marketing degree unexpectedly gets a dream job as a Marketing Manager at Coca-Cola.

It’s a fantastic story to read and then believe that magic happens when you expect it the least.

My Loving Husband Told Me to Marry Someone Else ~ Cocoa Griot

Oh, it’s a heartbreaking one. I couldn’t even imagine how hard it was for Cocoa to go through that painful experience. It’s an extremely emotional story about love and relationships.

I loved this the conversation of a lifetime. And I highly admire Cocoa for sharing her incredible story with all of us.

If you are a person who values love and relationships and believes that it can take you anywhere, you must read the story.

Kestrel Kindergarten ~ Mike Alexander

Mike is a wonderful writer. And when he writes about nature and the environment, his pen(I mean, keyboard) shines the best. You can literally experience it reading the vivid imagery and hidden humor in his stories.

Kestrel Kindergarten is my personal favorite. I love the way Mike describes the world of kestrel with great passion. It’s like discovering the whole new world of kestrel bit by bit.

I bet you will enjoy this incredible story of Mike about the flying school for raptors. Let’s defy the gravity and fly upwards.

The Monster Affair ~ M. H. Rubin

It’s a lovely story from Rubin. He and his wife, Jen, started a Petroglyph business in 1992 when the Web was only a few months old, and every human on Earth was getting weekly bombardments of introductory AOL disks.

Rubin found an AOL email address of a business in Chicago. Then to have some custom made book covers he wrote: “Hey there, would you guys be able to custom make some book covers I can use for my business plan?”

Well, that’s the beginning of an incredible relationship with a woman whom you will know as Monster.

The collaboration between the two turned into poetic flirting, and then they both fell into it deeply. Rubin’s wife didn’t know much about it. But one day, a package came from Monster, and then it changed everything.

What happened? I am not going to ruin the story for you. Read it yourself to know the rest of this unbelievable story.

Obsessive Reading: Even the Soundest Thing Can Go Wild! ~ Karmen Jurela

Karmen got hooked on reading books extensively at a very young age. It was her sweet escape from the cruel reality. But did she ever think that this sound habit can ruin her peace of mind?

When Karmen writes about her life experiences, she goes with a lovely flow that is engaging and equally entertaining.

She liked reading more than anything else. She was so obsessed with it that she used to finish two to three books a week. But at one point in her life, she understood that this habit of excessive reading is not doing any good. On the contrary, she was just trying to escape from reality.

I love the honesty in this piece. It’s marvelous in many ways. If you are doing anything you love obsessively, I highly recommend you read this piece to know the whole picture beforehand.

Grover’s Lament ~ David Cenicola, M.Ed.

Life is stranger than fiction. If you have any doubt about it, you may read this story written by David.

What’s it about? Let’s read the author’s note David included at the end of the story.

Author’s note Two weeks after I helped him to write this, Grover died alone in his cell due to complications from high blood pressure to his heart-valve. The prison doctors had just two days before changed his blood pressure medications to generic, even though Grover had told them he reacted poorly to generics.

His cellmate had been out on the yard walking the track after working at the prison factory all morning on the sun-drenched and warm, southern spring day. When he had come back to his cell, he had found Grover’s body collapsed onto the cold tile floor, his face purple, and there was a foot-long trail of dried saliva which had spewed from his mouth. His body was cold. Nobody had checked on him for hours.

Grover had not heard from his daughter or from any relatives for the past fourteen years.

What do you think about it? Can you guess the story? Yes, it’s a story of injustice that ruined Grover’s life. He didn’t kill anyone but he died in a tiny cell during his long years of imprisonment.

Whenever I remember this heartbreaking story, I become sad thinking that how a simple incident can ruin one’s life forever.
