Setting 2024 Goals? Time to Embrace Accountability!

Accountability helps you reach your goals.

As the new year begins, it’s a good time to remember that you are accountable, too. Yes, you can create your list or vision board and keep it to yourself. You can also choose to share one or all your goals with someone else.

Accountability helps you stay on the path you choose. When there is a fork in the road, accountability helps you take the right path. It’s great to be quiet and work on yourself. I agree 100%. I also know that some goals are worth sharing.

It’s so easy to set a weight loss goal, a financial goal, or a writing goal. It’s easier to keep it to yourself. That makes it even easier to quit. Don’t tell anyone and there’s no pressure. You won’t have to admit that you decided and changed your mind.

When you’re accountable, take responsibility for your actions. You give a straightforward answer. You’re fully responsible for what you do.

Are you ready for accountability?

Accountability helps you value your work and increases your skills and confidence. It reduces the time and attention you spend on useless activities. It minimizes unproductive behavior, and you know someone else is aware of your goals. They can check on your status at any time. This keeps you focused and moving forward.

The question is, “Do you take responsibility for your goals?”. If you do, “Have you told anyone about your resolutions or goals?”.

It’s not always easy reaching those bigger goals. Sometimes you get off track. Sometimes, there are interruptions and surprises. There’s also doubt and fatigue that can knock on your door. Don’t forget about Negative Nancy whispering in your ear. Whether she’s a real person or the voice in your head, we all have to deal with her sometimes.

If you’re ready to reach your goals and be accountable, drop one or two in the comments. Let’s be accountable and achieve our goals together.

It’s nice to have someone checking in on us to see if we’ve reached our goals, if we’re sticking to our plan, or if we’ve secretly given up. I may even check on you soon.

If you’ve made resolutions or goals, drop at least one in the comments. I’ll go first.

You can also leave a comment if you just want to say hi.

Happy 2024! Let’s go!

Until we meet again, Keep Living and Writing!
