Serendipity — Warning: cuss words ahead

I was at a chess tournament this past weekend.

My ex, who happens to be the father of my twins who were competing, was being especially irritating.

You know the type: if I didn’t so abhor the word, I would call him co-dependent; “helpful”, the kinda guy who constantly second-guesses me and our children. He always has a way to do our stuff just a little differently. The implicit message to our boys is:

“Your idea no good. My idea better. Let me tweak it for you, or better still replace it altogether”

He really knows how to knock the initiative out of anyone.

He is nosey and intrusive and I’d had him at close quarters the whole weekend as we had to drive two hours to get there and we overnighted the same place.

Anyway, I am snickering as I reading the burrito article below and he makes the mistake of asking me why I’m laughing.

So I read the article aloud for him, enunciating every single word.

He will probably never ask me again.
