Seoul citizens petition to borrow Fu Bao the Panda after her return to China

There has been this petition posted on the Seoul government’s website asking them to take out a loan from China to keep the giant panda Fu Bao in Seoul.
An individual named Kim suggested that Seoul should pay for a loan to keep Fu Bao at the Seoul Grand Park so that Seoul residents and Chinese tourists visiting Korea could still see her.
He said Fu Bao represents the partnership between South Korea and China.
Other individuals can click a button to say they agree with suggestions on the site.
If a suggestion gets 50 agrees, then the city has to give an official response.
This petition has gotten almost 400 agrees so now the city has to reply.
Fu Bao will be 4 years old in July and she was born at Everland Theme Park near Seoul.
Her parents Ai Bao and Le Bao came to South Korea in 2016 from China on a 15-year loan.
China owns all giant pandas, even ones born outside of China, and loans them out to other countries.
So Fu Bao was supposed to go back to China this year before she’s fully grown at 4, since Korea doesn’t have any other male pandas for her to mate with.
About 6,000 Korean fans gathered on 3 April to say their final goodbyes to Fu Bao, who was a star in the country.
