Send Flowers
Poetry

My house could use some white lilies Purple orchids, pink and red roses Perfume my floors with lilac and peaches Candles scented vanilla and apricot Illuminate my place with the fragrance of flowers Since it’ll never be filled with your cologne Send me a treasure trove of Iris, sandalwood Sparkling, dazzling amber A loving gesture Acknowledgment of your absence Acknowledging I’m not naïve I know I’ll never feel your lips Or feel the breath of your voice for which I wish would caress my ears Your excuses are illegitimate But if you desire to keep your distance But still, enjoy me from afar This is the ultimatum Send flowers or else I’m gone
