Semiotics and Lovers: A Prompt
08 September 2021 Wednesday Prose Poem: speaking with Eros

Following ethereal threads you chase the trace of all the lines that brought us here that carry us further — take us inside all the words — we are all the various aspects of the room — dispensing of the dust that was suddenly startled by the whirlwind of dance as we come onto the floor as we spin and laugh — as we pour in here and lean back — as we find our faces’ fingers becoming parts of different hands to be coming into arms becoming the next moment — and shoulders and spines join in with that other kaleidoscope of beauty — it swirls around us bringing the bond here and we’re taking it everywhere with us — we leave the cameras behind in the audience — we left the conventional distance to the side— found titillation located along an unfamiliar axis of technology — witnesses to strange choreographies — the symbols and signals pooled in the left hand and arms achieve their full extension –and fingers — trying madly to leave the hand to leap into the ether — blatant denial of the screen – fingernails to draw the lines we traced back here — those words we follow along bodies — through all these written footsteps and the gate wide-open electrically moving through your sentences again to be met with the eyes of embrace and the fluid memories of innuendo simply rocking all of the boats — becoming the swimmers who try to be embraced by the sea and
the sand at the same time

Prompt:
I went through a rather interesting process developing this prose poem: I borrowed images and lines from four different drafts to compose “Semiotics and Lovers”. However, the point is to develop a dialogue with Eros, god of love and sex, without going into rather uninspired area of bare anatomical descriptions. I want you to compose a love poem that is based upon the sexy feelings of being with your beloved. Speak with Eros: deliver passion and beauty in the prose poem frame. Be fresh, and, as always, please tag me in it.
Read on, rocking Scrittura fans and writers! This is a damned exciting place to be these days!!
