Summary

The web content is a reflective piece on self-worth and personal growth, encouraging readers to value themselves beyond societal pressures and the opinions of others, while also promoting the author's other works and Medium membership.

Abstract

The article titled "Self-Worth" delves into the importance of not undervaluing oneself in the face of adversity or societal expectations. It uses metaphors and poetic language to convey the message that one's value is not determined by external validation or the ability to respond quickly to criticism, akin to a tort claim. The author criticizes the pursuit of fame through aggressive self-promotion, suggesting that such strategies lack substance and are as flimsy as a poorly constructed blueprint. The piece concludes with the author inviting readers to explore their other writings, including a series of rap analyses, and to consider supporting them by becoming a Medium member using their referral link, emphasizing the mutual benefits of such a partnership.

Opinions

  • The author believes that self-worth should not be contingent on one's ability to retaliate against bullies or to outbid others in a game of fame.
  • They express that the societal game of accumulating fame through aggressive tactics is not only mortifying but also ineffective.
  • The author suggests that some common strategies for gaining recognition are weak and unsustainable, likening them to a plan not worth the paper it's printed on.
  • They imply that those who criticize without understanding the depth of one's work (red-seers) lack the insight to appreciate the true value of the content (blueprints).
  • The author values the support of their readers and encourages them to engage with their other content, indicating a desire to build a community around their work.
  • They present the option of Medium membership as a way for readers to gain access to a broader range of content while also supporting the author financially.

Don’t sell yourself short when it comes to the retort that you need to file faster than a Tort Claim report against the ones who think bullying’s a sport.

It’s a mortifying game, to think that more bidding is the fitting way to play and accumulate fame.

Awkward actions make going to the bar again a bargain, and teak wood might not even be strong enough to contain this arm war.

This strategy to enter the stratosphere doesn’t have legs to balance on, or a shoulder to stand upon, a plan not worth the paper it’s printed on,

a blueprint so blues-ridden it blew prints off from all the red-seers who didn’t have an inkling of what was written on the walls.
