Self-Preservation Tips to Lead a Successful Life
A cat’s perspective

Hola everyone. Missed me lately; I’m back with new updates about my hooman’s life and some life lessons for everyone. Summer has been fabulous for me in all aspects: more sunshine, more prey, more time outside, and more time for being pampered (she didn’t have many work hours). 😻
I don’t know how you deal with people who don’t have much going on in their lives; it’s such a burden for happening beings like me. When my hooman is not busy, she gets weird and annoying, so I have to nudge her to be creative things; otherwise, she’ll never do anything meaningful in her life. I know I’m too perfect and worthy of all adjectives of admiration.
Like billions of others, our lives have been full of ups and downs, in her case, more downs, but I’m here to take care of her.
Dear lovely readers, thank you for all the love you’ve shown me over the years by reading my hooman’s stories, poems, and posts. Your presence enriches our lives by giving us wisdom, much-needed motivation, and badly required inspiration. 😻
We read everything with rapt attention, and spending time on your post is like a part-time job, except we’re not complaining.
We know how much time and effort it takes to write, so we reciprocate your hard work by reading the whole text, highlighting what we like, leaving a positive response, and giving 50 claps. We never compromise the time spent on reading and sacrifice by not publishing every day or not watching our cherished series. Sometimes, we change our scheduled tasks for appropriate engagement with you all and enjoy every bit of it. 😻😻
My heart is still glowing with love after reading your comments about my welfare when we started posting the India trip stories. I had permitted her after getting full-time help from the spare hooman (her brother), who had shifted with bag and baggage for the entire month. We were in constant touch on video calls and even listened to her goodnight songs reluctantly.
She has written poems about grief, tears, mourning, and loss. Indeed, sad tears are still muddled up in her heart, but happy tears are always gleaming on her face. I keep her happy, contented, and energized to face challenges with a smiling face and a grateful heart.😻
In the age of browsing with millions of choices tempting us to give us success, fame, and money, there are fewer than a few for the ones who couldn’t make the right choices as destiny had planned something different for them.
Our stories cater to those beings, especially the younger people who are in the majority on the platform. Life must be lived with patience, perseverance, and path-breaking decisions; do your best and move on. Self-love, self-care, and self-preservation are important, no one can deny, but selfless acts once in a while make this world livable.
Life throws cruel surprises at every corner, making us reel in pain and agony. Dealing with these calamities like a pro is not easy, but with some guidance, it is doable.
Expertise can be achieved by being compassionate, caring, and careful. Expertise can be attained if we know how to respond and not react to situations. Expertise can be experimented with by taking care of ourselves first.
Anything is possible if we channel our energies, emotions, and efficiency productively. Selfishness is not advocated here at all, although there is a slim chance of misinterpretation.
Selfish people are a different breed altogether. They only care about themselves and are often miserable in their lives. Selfless beings are the happiest because they know the ins and outs of making others feel special as they are secure and satisfied with their lives.
Very few would admit to this state of mind, but their aura would be noticeable, palpable, and admirable. They’re not missed in crowds, hordes, or herds but stand out.
Why? The answer is simple. They keep boundaries while giving, maintain balance by not overdoing, and know how to ask for help in times of need. They’re seldom overwhelmed, overexcited, and overworked.
An example would explicate this point more effectively. When a loved one is going through a crisis, and the situation demands another set of eyes, ears, and hands to assess the extent, these beings reach out for help calmly, convincingly, and categorically. They make sure their request gets reciprocated promptly. 😻😻
These beings don’t pretend to have all the solutions but actively work to alleviate the misery of others. They don’t rest unless their loved ones are fully cured.
After that, it’s time for their rejuvenation by disappearing into a comfortable zone for non-stop rest, forcing others to give them massages, belly rubs, and lots of treats.
Two days ago, this hooman had a severe Urticaria (hives) attack recently, and we didn’t know what to do. She was suffering in silence and trying to act normal. I alerted her son to get the required medication and sat outside the room to save myself from getting the infection.
I waited patiently for the medication to take effect on her before resuming my nighttime routine of jumping, meowing, and scratching everything in sight. It reminded me that I was worried sick about her, and now it was time for her to get disturbed by my antics.
Just imagine if I was not well-rested, well-fed, and well-groomed, the hooman might have been in pain for longer. I would have missed the signs of her discomfort if I had a brain fog due to excessive scrolling of my Instagram page, LinkedIn profile, or Facebook fan pages.
I spend considerable time on social media, but I never let it jeopardize my quality of rest. I manage my waking hours so well that my sleep time has increased exponentially. I plan, act, play and reset myself for another day. My advice is that self-care is the first step towards being the most exceptional being in the world. 😻😻
Paw-goodbye for now. I’ll be back soon. Meanwhile, take care, apply caution, and spread happiness around. 😻😻
