Self Portrait of Me
I am a woman. I am beautiful. I am unique. I am me.

This is a self-portrait of me Though it doesn’t look like much I’m just a face in the sea But I’m here and I’m proud I have a story to tell A story that’s mine and mine alone The story of who I am And where I’ve come from

I stand here, looking at me Staring back at my own eyes I don’t see a perfect person There are flaws and imperfections But I see someone who is worth loving And I see a person who is fighting For happiness and for hope There is so much to me that is beautiful And I am proud of who I am

I have been through so much pain and struggle I have felt like I was dying I don’t know why I am still living but I am There is still something that keeps me going Some reason to keep on fighting Through all the heartache and despair I am still here, alive and well
