Self-discovery Through Poetry Challenge Prompt:-18
Greeting Lifeline Poets,
With time, we all change. We all become like a person what we experience.
Situations give us a shape. Hard situations help us to build a strong character.
As time goes by, we have to face a lot of struggles in life. Struggles make us who we are.
Therefore today’s prompt is,
How have you changed in the last 5 years? What’s the biggest lesson you learned?
The last five years of my life taught me a lot of things.
The biggest lesson I have learned in my life is,
No pain, No gain
Without facing tough situations, you never know how to handle them.
To achieve something, you have to lose something.
We have to pay the price for every single thing. Even, you can’t get failures for free.
To get failures in life, you have to pay the price of trials and hard work.
Remember, nothing comes for free in life.
Life can’t be free without pain. Pain is a part of life and we all have to learn to handle pain.
“Bad things do happen; how I respond to them defines my character and the quality of my life. I can choose to sit in perpetual sadness, immobilized by the gravity of my loss, or I can choose to rise from the pain and treasure the most precious gift I have - life itself.”
-Walter Anderson
We don’t have any control over bad things. Bad things and situations will happen in life.
So, don’t try hard to avoid difficulties in your life. Learn to handle those difficulties with courage and make a difference in your life.
Do share what is the greatest lesson you have learned in life.
Looking forward to reading your poems!
